protecting all of wyoming’s animals

WYCAP 2026 Legislative Voting Record
Every session, Wyoming legislators vote on bills that determine whether animals are protected or left vulnerable. Those votes are public record, but they're often buried. WYCAP's Legislative Voting Record changes that. We track how your elected officials vote on animal welfare, so you can see exactly where they stand.
OUR IMPACT
WYCAP 2025 Annual report
In 2025, WYCAP opposed legislation harmful to wildlife, supported a landmark felony cruelty indictment in the Cody Roberts wolf case, and celebrated the end of gas chamber euthanasia in the state's last two holdout shelters. Through education, training, and statewide partnerships, WYCAP continued building the public awareness and legal infrastructure needed to protect Wyoming's animals.
After Green River voted to abolish the use of its animal gas chamber earlier this week, the Evanston mayor on Thursday said his city will follow suit. Evanston was the last remaining community in the country to use a gas chamber for animal euthanasia. — Cowboy State Daily

Don’t Look Away!
If you think someone you know is abusing animals, please speak up. The best thing you can do is report your suspicions of cruelty to your local law enforcement agency, humane organization, animal control agency or taxpayer-funded animal shelter.
GET INVOLVED
According to the Animal Legal Defense Fund, Wyoming’s animal protection laws rank our state at the bottom tier of all states.
WYCAP wants to change that! We’re a nonprofit run by volunteers.
